Hey!

My name is Wyatt Debban. I was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska, and graduated from Kearney High School in 2020.

I started videography and photography in 2019, during my senior year of high school. After watching numerous YouTube videos and receiving a Canon M50 for Christmas, I decided to try my hand at videography and editing. I began by filming high school sports, which my classmates and the community loved. This experience solidified my passion for videography.

I expanded my portfolio by shooting more sports videos, business showcases, and weddings. Eventually, I worked for Husker’s Athletic Media Team during college. At the same time, I was accepted into the Johnny Carson School of Emerging Media Arts, Where I ultimately graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. There, I fell in love with longer-form films and unconventional storytelling methods, such as animation, motion capture, game engines, and audio design.

I grew up with my younger brother and best friend Nolan and was raised by my parents, Joe and Jill. My father, Joe, was a flight nurse for over 15 years before earning his master’s degree and becoming a nurse practitioner in Cozad, NE, where he also runs a business practicing gender-affirming care. My beautiful mother, Jill, has been a nurse specializing in pre- and post-operative care for over 20+ years. Growing up in a household so deeply involved in healthcare taught me to be a good listener, patient, empathetic, and understanding of everyone's life situations, big or small.

Through these opportunities, I have had the chance to produce a globally successful and award-winning Western short film and to produce, edit, and gaffe an anti-capitalist, feminist fashion piece currently in distribution. These accomplishments were made possible through my hard work, love for the craft, trust, coordination, teamwork, and the extraordinary minds of my peers and friends, whom I developed through my education and work experience.

Now that I have graduated, I dream of helping productions in any way I can to ensure the final product is the best it can be—diverse, entertaining, and attention-grabbing. At some point, I hope to own my own production company to help facilitate young minds' ideas and bring other’s ideas and experiences to life.
